Elsa really is a dream come true. She lived in our hearts long before she was born, and long before she came to us. Her name means, "God's Promise." Years ago, when Greg and I were planning to start a family, we discussed baby names. The ONLY name that we both liked was "Elsa." Greg looked it up and discovered the meaning. It struck us as very significant at the time, and we really liked the name, but we had no idea how long we would have to hold on to that "Promise." There were a few times that we discussed other names, but our daughter just had to be Elsa.

So, more about our darling daughter. Elsa is a very expressive little girl. She makes her likes and dislikes known, with enthusiasm and intensity. Her favorite thing to do is to take a bath. She has no fear and will put her entire face in the water. We keep a cup in the tub to rinse her with. She will hand us the cup and ask to have water poured on her head. We have to hold on to her as she is so wiggly, and slowly pour the water over her head. She squirms and wiggles and flaps her hands all the while. Then looks at you with her big, brown, water logged eyes and laughs and giggles. Then asks that you do it again...and again...and again...She wants to do EVERYTHING that we do. I gave her a squeegie (the thing to wash windows with) and she "cleaned" the floors with it while I mopped. I think it has become one of her favorite toys. We got her a toy cell phone but she is mad that nobody talks back to her. She is getting a toy computer tomorrow. She really goes off on the keys when she gets her hands on our laptop. She is really into books now. We usually don't make it through a whole book as she likes to flip around and point to different things and have you tell her what they are. She takes my finger and points with it. She has the cutest voice. I think that she is mimicking me at times when she walks around with her head cocked and uses a sing-song, mommy voice and babbles. Her favorite foods right now are carrots and strawberries. When she really likes what she is eating, she emphatically says "MMMMMMMM, MMMMMM" . Interesting, as I do that too. Just not quite as loud. Whenever Greg sings, Elsa "bangs" her head. She is very ticklish and loves it when Mommy does it. And, one of our favorite things about her, she laughs so hard that she snorts. Giggle, giggle, snort, giggle, giggle, snort. Our daughter is an absolute delight, and she was well worth the wait.
